On Wednesday, 15th of October, Aveda proudly styled all 45 models at 'The Runway', an exclusive fashion event presented by Quantas Frequent Flyers and David Jones Rewards.

Held in Qantas Hanger in Mascot, the location transformed into a striking runway to showcase Travel, Beauty and Fashion.

Leading the hair creative direction for 'The Runway', Terri Robertson-Kirkwood, owner of the Robertson-Kirkwood salons along with a team of Aveda Artist, brought to life, high-shine, mirror-like hair looks - each design tailored to complement the modern, fresh aesthetic of the evening’s fashion presentation. If you have straight and wavy hair, here is how to recreate these effortless looks:

Step 1 – Prep

Starting with damp hair, apply 4 drops of Miraculous Oil High-Shine Hair Concentrate to palms, before warming and applying to mid-ends of hair. Miraculous Oil provides heat-protection up to 232.C, while smoothing frizz, and adding up to 255% more shine. Once applied, Blow-dry hair away from the face in the direction of the desired finished look.

Step 2 – Style

Parting the hair in a side-part, apply Aveda Men Pure-Formance™ Firm Hold Gel to the roots in horizontal sections, blow-drying smooth following the natural contours of the head. The Pure-formance gel will leave a high-hold finish to the hair.

Step 3 – Finish

Embracing the natural texture of the hair and to add more shine and hold, apply 4 drops Miraculous Oil High-Shine Hair Concentrate to the palms, before warming and apply softly to freshly styled hair to add more shine and smooth fly aways. Lock in with Control Force Firm Hold Hair Spray to complete the look. Control force is a fast-drying hair spray, providing firm-hold and Humidity defense for up to 24 hours. Paired together, creates a shiny finish that will last 24 hours.
