Aveda is the first beauty company manufacturing with 100% wind power. We have a bold commitment to wind energy: one hundred percent of the electrical usage at our corporate headquarters, distribution centre and primary manufacturing facility is now offset by wind energy purchases.
Responsible Packaging
Aveda's goal in packaging is to reduce its use of virgin materials and incorporate as much post-consumer recycled (PCR) content as possible. Each product is carefully reviewed to determine how to minimize the use of labeling and packaging inserts. In 2000, we challenged our packaging suppliers to increase the PCR content of its bottles to an unprecedented 80 percent PCR.

Earth Month
Aveda raises awareness) -  funds - for causes close to our hearts. Since our 1999 Earth Month Campaign, we've raised more than $14 million - and millions more in awareness - for environmental causes.
